We’re looking to hire a passionate and dynamic Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to join our HR consultancy firm that provides comprehensive HR support to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across Kenya. This is an entry-level opportunity ideal for an HR professional seeking mentorship, exposure, and growth in consultancy work.
Job Description:
- Support assigned SME clients in implementing HR solutions, policies, and systems tailored to their business needs.
- Assist in end-to-end recruitment processes, including job profiling, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Maintain HR documentation, including employee files, contracts, and statutory compliance records in line with the Employment Act (2017).
- Prepare HR reports, maintain data accuracy in HRIS systems, and track performance and attendance where applicable.
- Support the setup and monitoring of performance management tools, including KPIs, appraisals, and performance improvement plans (PIPs).
- Participate in resolving employee relations matters through proper documentation, communication, and involvement of senior consultants.
- Assist in organising and facilitating training sessions, employee engagement activities, and wellness initiatives for client teams.
- Conduct HR research on salary benchmarking, employment law updates, and emerging HR trends to guide clients and internal teams.
- Ensure confidentiality and integrity in all HR operations and uphold the consultancy’s reputation for professionalism and ethics.

Functionally: Senior HR Consultant
Administratively: HR Director
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) qualification is mandatory.
- 1–3 years of practical HR experience, preferably in consultancy or SME support environments.
- Basic understanding of HR laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices in Kenya.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office and HR software systems with exceptional Excel Skills
- Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) is an added advantage.
- A competent driver with a valid driving licence.
- Open to learning, adaptable, and willing to grow under structured mentorship.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Timely and accurate completion of HR deliverables for clients.
- Client satisfaction and retention.
- Compliance with HR documentation and statutory requirements.
- Quality of HR reports and recommendations.
- Active participation in mentorship and professional development programs.
