School Driver

Position Summary

The School Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of students, staff, and school materials. This role requires a high level of responsibility, punctuality, and commitment to safety standards, ensuring that all passengers are transported in a secure and respectful manner.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and other school-related activities
  • Ensure the school vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy at all times
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
  • Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and school transport policies
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance
  • Assist young children in boarding and alighting from the vehicle safely
  • Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students
  • Respond calmly and appropriately in case of emergencies or unexpected delays
  • Support logistical needs such as transporting school supplies or staff when required
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by your supervisor

 Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid Kenyan driver’s license with PSV endorsement
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience, preferably in a school or institutional setting
  • Certificate of Good Conduct
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures
  • First Aid training (preferred)
